I don't really hang out here but I like to least let people who check my DA or happen by here know I'm alive and well.  :)  If you want to keep up on my latest costumes, plush and art you have to follow my tumblr!

So far the puppet cosplay plans are shelved, but I still want to do it, soon...soon the motivation and time will come!  Once I get going on it the pieces will fall into place.

I DID get Punk Rainbowdash together though
, wore her at Zenkaikon this past weekend!  Also threw together a Good Cop Bad Cop costume (The Lego Movie) and plan to wear that for coming cons as well.  I still plan to make an original monster of some kind for Anthrocon!  I am not wearing Pitch this year at Animenext as last year it was a problem with how it is so humid and usually rains at that con.  (Humid and rain combined with all that makeup does not mix! Yup.) I also have plans to make a Sailor Neptune cosplay by Otakon to do with my girlfriend, who is being Sailor Uranus.  ;)

:star: June 6-8 AnimeNEXT:  (Will be sharing a small table space with friends in the alley!) BLU Spy, Good Cop Bad Cop, Punk Rainbowdash
:star: July 3-6 Anthrocon:  (Find me in the Dealers hall!) Tentaspy, Punk Rainbowdash
:star: August 8-10 Otakon:  Good Cop Bad Cop, Punk Rainbowdash, and hopefully Sailor Neptune
:star: October 3-5 AUSA:  Maybe going?? (I applied for a table)

I don't check my DA messages in general, I hate the DA message system.  If you want to get in contact with me about commissions email me (link is on my craft blog), or message me on tumblr or Etsy.  :) I am ONLY going to consider custom plush based off my existing plush patterns!  (I can alter them to look like an original creature of yours or allude to a cartoon character, but not beyond the style of the pattern's design). I am not making full customs at this time, nor will I REMAKE anything you saw from me before.  My original designs sell well and that is where I want to be - making full on customs atm is not cost effective, nor what I really want to do.   <3

28 Year old artist with a BFA in Animation. I'm highly skilled in multiple areas, from illustration, video editing, to sculpting and sewing. My dream is to get into concept art, or stop motion, or prop & puppet making, doing stuff for commercials, trade shows, products, displays, movies, TV, or ads. I sew plush and sell them in my free time, as well as making and preforming crazy costumes. I really love cosplaying and bringing a character to life. I am cuddly, love to laugh with friends.

Snow Buck Plush by Lithe-Fider
Snow Buck Plush
One of my deer plush, but done to a commissioner's specifications on color.  He is made with handmade wool felt and batik cottons.  The antlers are very small and hard to sew.  :T  He is about 6" tall not including antlers.

Was looking for inspiration for my Sandy costume and came across what you guys did for the convention and I thought you had really great pattern and design for it! If you don't mind me asking, how many yards of fabric did you use for that costume? How did you guys go about it or suggest I do? Is that gold contacts? Apologies for asking because I could not find the source on your friend who played Sandy's page...:D

Hey, long-time fan of your Medic cosplay with DigitalDuckie. I was wondering, how do you make the medigun and backpack? If you have a tutorial, that would be amazing~ (Also, what would be a good place to get the BLU team Medic coat, and what kind of gloves did you wear? Because that is an absolutely fantastic cosplay and I want to be as good as you at cosplaying Medic)

No clue how busy Lithe is in regards to checking dA and/or replying here. But I can tell you a few things about her Medic cosplay at least.

The medigun was a more complicated build than I can summarize for. It's foam and I believe a bit of light weight wood and an ingenious construction allowing Lithe to take it apart for easier packing. She can screw off the barrel from the rest of it and even remove the top handle/lever by taking out a bolt.

The pack, however, was primarily foam core with some reinforced padding where it sits on the back. Again, more specific details would have to come from Lithe herself. I do seem to recall she had progress photos somewhere, perhaps.

For stuff like the gun and pack, if you want to go for a more accurate look, a big tip I can give is to make sure you proportion them properly. Use cheap paper (newsprint is great) to sketch out pieces and measure them against yourself to make sure they look right before you go cutting into your supplies.

She used a pattern for Neo's coat from the Matrix and altered it to make necessary changes for Medic's coat. Similar to above, you can use a cheaper fabric like muslin to test the pattern on and make sure your alterations will work and give you the effect you want before you go into sewing the final product.

She has a variety of gloves and I'm not sure what her most recent pair has been. I don't recommend painting dish gloves as it's very difficult to do without the paint cracking off. Most paints are not nearly flexible enough to adhere to latex rubber gloves and move and stretch with them without taking damage. If I recall correctly, all of the rubber gloves she's bought for Medic have been the result of some hardcore internet searching.

Trust me, though, this cosplay was all Lithe.
