Akemi Plushby ~Lithe-Fider

A plush commission a long time in coming for

! It is of her character Akemi (This is one of her drawings of her for ref: [link] )

The plush is 18 inches from nose to butt. Made using cuddle fleece (the purple/pink) which is VERY soft and one of my new favorite fabrics! X3 The red is a standard low pile, nice quality fur fabric. The purple fluff around her hair poof is wefted merino wool - I learned recently how to weft it on my sewing machine! It's awesome!

The red fluffy bits are the same fabric I am using for my Okami costume (which I WILL finish sometime before I die XD ). It has been spray dyed with "Simply Spray" fabric dye. She has some beans in her paws for floppyness, and has been loosely stuffed for hug ability.

This was my first time making a true plush pattern, and it was COMPLICATED omg. It may be hard to believe but before this I mostly just kinda winged it and would sew parts together; it would never be exact enough to have a reproducible paper pattern.

But after devising a way I can understand and make a complicated uni-body construction pattern I think I will be making more in the future, so I can make plush faster and better. Also I plan to make myself a plush with the pattern, probably one of my dog-dragon's

Commissions - I put a lot of work into my plush and do exactly what you specify and some people don't seem to realize what a skilled artist's time or quality materials is worth. :/ Or that I have a life in between.

Expect to pay at LEAST $90 for most average character designs in average plush sizes (6-9"). One like this would be around $175. Complexity matter more to cost than size, but obviously a 18" plush is more than a 7" . c:
