I was making some simple black kikai bugs for props for my Shino costume (I made a push mold and was making a whole bunch out of sculpey) then then I thought, "Hum....I should try making some that actully LOOK like kikaichu...."
So I made some to scale....or at least as tiny as I could make it without going insane. XD They are still a tiny bit bigger than 'real life' (or as big as a kikai would BE in real life). Wow it was hard....to not squish it as you did the legs with a frickin TOOTHPICK. O_o (so small I couldn't do it with my fingers).
The one whith white is the manga version, the black one is anime version (the colors/size are different in each....).
I'm gonna bring them to Otakon in a little itty bitty box and take'em out for photshoots. They look way better in person...
Soooooo small!
I definitely need to get my friends to find you and take pictures with you!! n____n >.> I'm becoming more and more jealous of the fact they get to go to Otakon by each passing day! Hmffff.
o___o I wouldn't have the patience to finish this... but I'd also be annoyed because I'd get far enough for it to actually look like something so I'd be like, "I MUST FINISH!" x_x Rawr.

whoah, what a coincidence. I have just replied to a certain post of yours saying that I hope you get to take a picture of a real kikai bug and lo and behold!
molded kikai bugs!!
you're such a great sculptor!
too bad no one can fave scraps since it won't show on their Fave List anyways.
this should be in your Gallery! *sobs*
I command thee, little minions: Bring me Pepsi! (Ho ho ho ho ho!)
But seriously, they rock my socks. In fact, as the creator of the Kikai bugs, YOU rock my socks. I didn't know the manga and anime bugs look different...I'll have to recheck, then.

Yea, it was hard but fun....it took me like 15 minutes to do each one. o_O Roar is right.
LOL I kno, I was just reading that comment too! XDD hahaaa! Look I DID get a pic...I found some! hahaha!
You CAN fav scraps! ^^ It just doesn't show in your MAIN favs. You click on 'scraps' under your favs list and it shows all your favs that are scraps. I fav a lot of scraps, people keep fun stuff in them a lot.
I'll put a pic of them in my gallery when I am done Shino cosplay, then then can take a picture of myself with one on my finger, hehe.
I might be able to go next year, I hope... .____.;;
And I'll tell them to look for your Ryntha costume on that Friday and your Shino costume on Saturday. xD I think you'll stand out a LOT as Ryntha, especially, so I'll try to get them to find you in that one.
>.>;;; And 15 minutes? Did your eyes hurt after a while? @_@

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
