Shi or He?by ~Lithe-Fider

were open canvasing, and they set a theme of martial arts, so I drew my kendo-samurai-ish character Shi.

Shi has been around since I was 14-15 ish. Shi is half Raydinian and half Leporidae Creture. Shi is also intersexed, IE born with both female and male characteristics.

Shi has partially differentiated ovotestes with clitoromegaly and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH). (Three disorders you usually do NOT see all at once, but this is sci-fi I can do waht I want.

) So technically he is XX (female).

Shi identifys as a male in conversation just to make life easier, as he figures overall he is kinda male (he is attracted to females so that made sense to him, and also his voice is medium-in tone, and other male-ish tendencies and junk...) but really Shi does not truly identify himself with male or female gender identity wise, and physically he is a middle ground. He has small breasts (shown bound), feminine hips / thin waist, broad male shoulders and developed musculature, and most noticeably would be he has a normal vagina with a extremely enlarged clitoris (IE looks like a normal size penis). Internally he has a non functional uterus, with one partially developed ovary and a testicle on the mirror side - both developed just enough to produce necessary hormones, but not enough for sexual reproduction. (there was a documented cause of just that occurring in a real life person actually). So no periods and no sperm, and yea, that would also mean sterility.

And also - the one leg looks short cause it's going AWAY From us...(foreshortening) I just drew that poorly. XD (Like I guess the hair should be IN FRONT of that leg - oh well I'll do better next time. XD)

I have a mild case of CAH. (I look unquestionably female, but I'm very muscular/solidly built and I started growing very quickly very early.) A lot of my doctors have never heard of it before, so I'm curious as to how you know of it.

From an art perspective, this is very good! I like the way it flows together. If there are anatomy mistakes, they don't detract from the overall quality of the image.

paid quite a lot of attention to your chars sexual identity. the problem is your description of the character became far more interesting the the drawing XD (but the drawing totally rocks X3)
